NYC Trout Bums was founded in 2003 and is an informal fly fishing group based out of the New York City metro area and connects people from the NYC area as well as all over the northeast, US, and beyond! who are interested in all types of flyfishing including freshwater and saltwater, fly tying and rod building. Periodically there are organized and informal trips with members to fishing areas (many within a day's drive of NYC), happy hours, tying sessions, fly swaps and other events.
Members primarily fish the northeast US in NJ, NY (Catskills, Adirondacks, Jamaica Bay, LI, even Central and Prospect Park), CT (Housatonic, Farmington), PA and VT; however we will wet a line just about anywhere!
